They Dead is a three-piece rock band from Minneapolis. Formed from the wreckage of various Twin Cities outfits — Push On Junior, Moon Maan, Kid Dakota, Soul Asylum, Story of the Sea — the band plays a lean, abrasive strain of rock built on raw guitar, locked-in rhythm, and vocals that don’t ask for anything.

Bryan Knisley, Ian Prince, and Kate Clements have stripped everything back and aimed lower. No ornament. No safety net. What remains is a harder, more direct thing than any of them have made before.

Their debut LP Lizards All came out in 2013. A new record is due Summer 2026 — recorded at Hideaway Studios, Minneapolis, with engineer Joe Mabbott.
